The Certified Digital Bookkeeper (CDB®) credential represents more than technical expertise — it embodies a commitment to integrity, professionalism, and accountability. To uphold the trust of clients, employers, and the financial community, every CDB® professional is expected to adhere to the following Code of Ethics.
1. Integrity and Honesty
CDB® professionals must conduct themselves with fairness, truthfulness, and transparency at all times. Decisions and records must reflect the highest standards of honesty, without compromise.
2. Confidentiality
Client and organizational information must be treated with the utmost respect and privacy. Certified bookkeepers shall not disclose sensitive data without proper authorization, except when legally obligated.

CDB® professionals are committed to maintaining and improving their knowledge and skills. They must apply diligence, accuracy, and care in all bookkeeping practices, ensuring their work meets recognized professional standards.
4. Objectivity and Independence

CDB® professionals must uphold all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring their work aligns with both legal requirements and ethical best practices.
